Good to see the positivity and hype still coming from the man after the update

I love huber. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who remembers us pushing even for a manga to finish out the story. They can take there time. Also, I'm just glad they let us know no e3 in advance.

So maybe a trailer is still possible even if they are not there?

i was thinking of this possibility, they never stated "Shenmue 3 is skipping E3 2017"
something about it might be showcased like behind the scene footage or something along the announcement of Shenmue 1&2 Remasters?

of course it's just a possibility right now.

Delaying the game is great news to be honest. If it's not at E3 it's no big deal. Shenmue 3 hasn't appeared about 15 E3 conferences so far so I don't think it's a big deal if it misses E3 this year. If it takes until 2018 or even 2019 so be it. I just want it to be the same experience we've grown to love and bring in fans who are new to the series.

Going forward all eyes will be on Sega though. Their cooperation and treatment of their IP is crucial to the future of the series.

Be careful with this train of thought, guys. It's really, really unlikely YSnet were playing games with their wording on the statement about not appearing at E3.

Agree.

Thanks to Switch, we have also a direct traduction of the Japanese original statement.

We could think they speak about a physical presence at E3, but the traduction from Switch is slightly different from the english version. They are not devoting themselves to development in June, they are devoting themselves to the development, period.

That said... a little hope doesn't hurt.

Michael Huber seems like a cool guy, will never forget his reaction to Shenmue 3.
It does seem possible that Shenmue 3 still may appear at E3 but it's not very likely. Feels like I'm not being realistic but still looking forward to E3 though. Just to see what happens.

Hello everyone! First post - and a very short one - after years and years of lurking around!

I'm not über-optimistic (pun intended) regarding the E3 thing, but hey... They could be leading us on and are still planning to present something, but it wouldn't make sense from a communication/press point of view. But I guess that sense and logic are not that important from what we've seen, that's what gives me the 10% of hope that we'll see something soon...

^ Welcome to the forums man. I don't think the game will turn up at E3 but I do think it's more likely and very possible that we are getting a trailer or gameplay video this month. If the next update is minor like a video of a goat or something then I will start to get worried.

Could be worse. Could have made an alt account named Coby after a pair of headphones he was wearing while as a mod. I went to read the posts and don't remember posting any of that but it's some heavy cringe. ](*,)
