I'm expecting a new window for when the surveys go out, and information about how long the Slacker Backer site will run for.

Beyond that? No idea. I'm crossing my fingers for a little extra.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced two years ago and there's been a trailer and gameplay video of that but even that wasn't a whole lot. I don't expect to see gameplay for Shenmue 3 for awhile yet though, I just hope the next update will be a good one. Like some in the past have been.

FFVIIR is episodic and from Nomura. He had a part in FFXV being delayed a decade. Now KH3 and FF7R from him. Dude just loves overly long delays.

So it seems.

That's pretty much what I expect.

I really hope they will make the pledge upgrade option available soon.
For a selfish reason: I want more collectibles...
And also because 7M$ is not that far anymore and I'm sure we will it the mark easily if the make the pledge upgrade possible.

Other than that, a few new screenshots would be just perfect.

I also want the pledge upgrade available. I got the $175 pledge but the problem about that one I get the sountrack as a download only. I rather own the physical ost. I would like to see some screenshots of the second village but I forgot the name.

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I've heard other Kickstarters have used a system called backerkit for surveys, which I believe includes the option to change delivery address (within reason, so up to the point of dispatch) and upgrade pledges.

If this is the case, and if Awesome Japan are on the ball, then we may still get the pledge upgrade option and surveys this Summer. Between pledge upgrades and the Slacker Backer campaign, $7 million might be within reach by the year's end.

Let's hope AJ will use this backerkit system... we are quite a few only willing to throw some more money into the project wallet after all.

It's hard to "mobilize the troops" for the 7M without any substantial update. In a perfect world, they launch a new website along with a trailer and put a money counter on the front page with the option to donate via PayPal or even Patreon.

We're probably not going to see anything as drastic as that.

But the good news is, $7 million doesn't solely hinge on that specific scenario.

The Slacker Backer site lasting until January 2018 and pledge upgrades (hopefully still) coming this Summer should give us a fighting shot at $7 million.

Meatier KS updates would help boost confidence and awareness, but as far as I can tell the average amount of money being taken in goes up and mostly stays up when people are given more options to contribute (allowing Chinese backers, PC orders via SB site), so that's why I'm keeping my fingers crossed for pledge upgrades to still happen this Summer as planned.

By Friday we should get the details of the new Shenmue 3 roadmap.

Aw yis.

Predictions:

- Surveys/pledge upgrades (either delayed, or going out via backerkit)
- Slacker Backer site (either ends soon, or early 2018)

Hopes:

- Details on the backer demo
- Details on physical rewards (images, maybe a roll-out of certain rewards ahead of release)
- New screens/dev room video

Dreams:

- Backer demo out before the end of the year
- Confirmation of where/when to re-reveal will be (will accept "we will show you the game properly before the end of 2017")

Some timeline for surveys, pledge upgrades, demo, slacker backer duration, etc...
Probably something more accurate now since they know better what has been done and what still has to be done.

We definitely can't wait!

That sounds really good. I need to save money for a new PC to play the demo, mine is outdated.

I guess it should be clarified that the hope is that they're providing a roadmap in this week's update. Nobody is really sure what they're going to do.

Announcing ahead of time that a more detailed update is coming this month is good news though, as it implies they've got something of substance to say beyond "oh yeah, surveys are delayed too".
