Thank you Switch!

I'd like to ask Eric if the process of voicing a weak/wimpy character like Fuku-san feels much different to voicing a stong/brave character like Guizhang or Ren. Does he feel the character differences himself when he voices them?

What life experiences helped you in becoming a voice actor? How did you get into the videogame industry?

Regarding Shenmue, how did you choose the right voice for each of your characters? Were you coached by the director, or was it totally a decision of yours on how you worked on the voice tones for Ren, Guizhang and Fuku-san?

And thanks as always for your great work Switch!

Which character that you voiced in the Shenmue games do you most easily identify with?

Do you find it easier to play the part of a character that you're more similar to, or different from?

Will you revise your roles of Ren and Guizhang for S3? If so, have you already started recording?

EDIT: Just checked his profile page. He misspelled Shenmue on there. :???:

With all these years of experience under your belt is there anything relating to your Shenmue characters that you might want to try differently if Shenmue had never happened and you were handed the script now as a new IP?

In Bizarro World what do you think Bizarro Eric Kelso is like?

Who were your biggest influences?

What are your hobbies outside of acting?

When will Guizhang move out of his father Warehouse? Not a good place to bring a date to for your pad.

Eric, I believe that your work is among the best voicework in the series. How did you find your voices for Guizhang, Fuku-san and Ren?

Also, you may not be able to discuss whether you are reprising any of these roles due to NDA but are you in the know regarding other actors and if any of the other original cast are returning for 3?

I have noticed from your roles in such games as Firefighter F.D.18 (PS2), Glass Rose (PS2), as Paul Phoenix in the Tekken series, Jacky Bryant in the Virtua Fighter series and for the roles you play in Shenmue that you often get cast frequently as protagonists or reluctant heroes, would you like to play a villain of some sort as a change?

Have you ever met the game's creator, Yu Suzuki?

Do you have any stories regarding fans of Shenmue recognising your voice in everyday life?

Finally, do you have any news regarding a new Virtua Fighter game? (Since he's played Jacky Bryant for a long time now). Okay, now what about a new F-Zero? Please can you just say "FALCON PUUUUUNCH!" (Yes, he is also Captain Falcon in F-Zero).

The English/American actors/performers that did English translation dubbing for Shenmue 1 and 2, I believe were all naturalized/neutralized/expatriate citizens of Japan who lived there and auditioned.

I just find this kinda interesting as I guess back then which nowadays is an easier process, hiring English/American speaking actors to dub a Japanese developed game was difficult. So in order to make it easier, they just hired American/English actors that were living as residents in Japan already.

So my questions to you to follow on that as you're an American;

What made you come to Japan?

Why did you want to become an actor/voice actor/be an actor in Japan as opposed to being an actor in the western world?

How did you audition for Shenmue?

Also just another fun question;

How it was to work with Suzuki-san those years?
Are you confident with your voice tone now? I mean... you think your voice can match the same tone when you dubled shenmue the first time?

Not sure if this has been covered before, but has he actually played the Shenmue games?

Also, how does he feel about hearing his own voice when it is recorded? I have done a bit of amateur dramatics and I can't stand my own voice when I listen back to something.

If you had the chance, where would you take Ren's character (Like a personal character arc or a different side etc)?

Hope to hear you in S3!
