That fucking environment is A+++ though. Choubu?

In my opinion, these are the changes that need to be made to make Ryo's new model as true to the original as possible:

- Give the hair a more gelled, sturdy appearance, as opposed to one that looks as if it's being blown by the wind
- Widen the bridge of the nose a smidgen
- Lessen the bags under his eyes
- Darken the plaster (or band-aid) so it isn't so close to the colour of his skin
- Narrower, smaller lips (with particular emphasis on the top lip)
- Narrower head, more defined jawbone, and a flatter chin

Apart from those things, they've nailed it, right down to his hairline and the size of his forehead.

As long as Deep Silver don't mess with the game's creative side, then this can only be good news, I suppose.

I'm posting from my phone so sorry if this post is formatted weird.

There are tweaks that still need to happen, but we're a year or more from release anyway, so I'm not sweating it. We're leagues ahead of the E3 2015 models, and that's what counts.

R.E Deep Silver; not totally sure how involved they are but they're coming in pretty late in the process considering we're only hearing about it now. I don't think YS would enter in a partnership that would make strong creative demands, and we're probably so far into the process they'd likely have little effect.

Just change the logo back to the one from June FFS!

The meet and greet is being held at Segas booth.

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but wasn't Sony originally the Publisher of the PS4 version?

Does the Deep Silver deal put an end to the Slacker Backer campaign in the near future?

Hopefully there will still be an opportunity to upgrade our pledges...

Maybe Deep Silver are taking over publishing duties in Europe and America, with Sony focusing on Japan? I'm hopeful we'll find out more at Gamecom regarding Deep Silver's involvement.

As for the Slacker Backer... I'd like to think that with Deep Silver entering the fray that the game will be fully funded, giving Suzuki-san what he requires to make it "the full on Shenmue experience"...

If the missing budget needed by Yu to create "the full on Shenmue experience" is provided by Deep Silver, I couldn't be more happy! That said... I would still love to upgrade my pledge :D

Oh. Shenmue 3 Gamescom presence explained, isn't it?

Deep Silver is the video game publishing division of German multinational corporation Koch Media, based in Planegg, Bavaria. Since its founding in 2002, Deep Silver has published and co-published several major titles, notably the Dead Island and Homefront series, as well as taking stewardship over the Saints Row series following THQ's bankruptcy . In total, the company has released more than 200 games.

I think that Deep Silver is a good choice for publisher. They're generally competent when it comes to distribution and marketing.

Just so long as Deep Silver doesn't pull another PR stunt like this:

"Make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night." :ugh:

Although to be fair, nothing could save Mighty No. 9 from itself. Deep Silver will have much better material to work with when they promote Shenmue 3.

Did a search (http://www.gamescom-cologne.com/gamesco ... dex&&tab=0), looks like the booth will be shared with Deep Silver as well. Maybe because of ATLUS/Persona connections?

Just noticed they'll be publishing Yakuza Kiwami too, so it makes sense

Could this collaboration with Deep Silver be one of the announces they had for the gamescom?

Can't wait for Gamescom I'm hyped as hell!

Looks like a downgraded version to me but this partnership is good news.

Why'd they swap the logo yet again? They literally just announced that they'd be using the original Shenmue logo.

Also - is Shenmue 3 now a PS4 exclusive?

Is Sony involved at all anymore?

Kinda confused and less optimistic about how this will all turn out. Not sure how I feel about the character models, yet.

In the kickstarter update they didn't mention these two images at all knowing how eager is everybody to see the new model of Ryo, suspicious. Maybe these pictures are from outdated material and they don't want to talk about them?

Don't know if it's just me, but seeing Shenmue III with a well known publisher like Deep Silver makes it feel all the more real. Can't wait!
