In the next Issue of M! Games there will be a interview with Yu Suzuki. It comes out in September.

It tells us that the animation stuff was just bad timing/luck for releasing the teaser, and that YS seems a little bit worried about the budget. Also not really knowing how much financial support will get from DS even if he already put some work into expanding some stuff. Kinda weird he didn't want to tell how many people are working, but I guess he has his reasons.

It eases me the feeling that lest me this video I found last night
phpBB [video]

Pretty much says that the were kinda dissapointed, and says that YS told him "it's all we can do".

To me this was all clickbait, in reality they don't say anything interesting.

Patience.

You could have just said Yes. :P

I just wanted to confirm that it happened since things seemed to go silent, not asking when it would be posted. It would have been a shame if it didn't work out, as he probably asked questions that the mainstream interviews wouldn't have covered.

I honestly don't know what I'm allowed to say or not so I'm staying ambiguous.

Read into that what you will.

Is anyone else super confused over these chapter descriptions? They seem to be different every time!

I think I know exactly what that means. At least I hope it's what I'm thinking.

Yu Suzuki seems to be implying that different areas of Shenmue 3 will be varied, from closed world to a more expanded open world setting, based on the village or environment. Intriguing possibilities. Could very well experiment with microscopic mechanics of a Zero Escape series or similar in certain scenes and expand out to a grander macroscopic Shenmue III in other locales.

I think Bailu is going to be more microscopic and Shenmue 1 like, Choubu will be more macroscopic and Shenmue II like, and Baisha is going to be something totally new.

Yep, that seems likely.

I was hoping III could split the difference between the game worlds of Shenmue and Shenmue II, and that's exactly what we're getting thankfully.

Speaking of the game world, I'm not sure if anybody asked about it, but it's looking like it'll be seamless in the sense that the loading times between interiors and exteriors will be absent. At least, that's my interpretation based on some of the screenshots that show open windows on buildings that let you look inside.

I like the idea of no load times but I'll miss the black screen with the time and location.

There can be some fade in/out or certain transitions when entering indoor places/different areas.

The images of choubu looked like most of the shops were in the open similar to wan chai though.
