Will we actually hear anything this month?

blah there might not be any news but the game is comming out. im positive yu wouldve been the first one to say something at the point of crying.

Yes. It's going to have to be announced this year, or else we probably arent going to see it by 2005! and you know what that means? it will be JUST like shenmue 2.. well shenmue 1 also, OVERSHADOWED by new fucking consoles. Are there even any more gameshows this year?

Even if there is an anouncment expect a long wait but atleast it will be better waiting for it to come that waiting for an anouncment.

yea, it's quite likely that somethin actually will happen this month. at least we'll get a statement on shenmue III from sega.

Well, unless it's cancelled.

I would like SEGA to seriously consider doing the following: the last two appropriate game shows are coming up and they should take this opportunity, two full years after the release of Shenmue II to make an announcement. That they hate Shenmue; that they've always hated Shenmue; that they never had the slightest intention of making Shenmue III and they certainly aren't going to start now; and that the Shenmue franchise is hereby cancelled.

Then maybe we can all go home and get on with the rest of our lives.

I realise now that LanDC is right - it's the continued silence which drives us all mad! What's more it's discourteous and downright bad treatment of the fans. Maybe sales weren't so good, but as fans go the Shenmue ones are all die-hards. Look how much activity is still found here, months after the US release of IIx - only things like GTA and MGS get this kind of attention and continued playing.
