Yeah, Shenmue II's contrast and colours were amazing (particularly in Guilin, with its vibrant yellows / greens and deep blue skies). I'm hoping to see that style return in Shenmue III, but as with so many modern games it appears that the devs are opting for a photographic look, with lots of light filtering and as a result, some washed out skies.
Still, I love these shots. There's no doubt Shenmue III will be a great looking game.
