Does anybody know a good way to get a real copy of the Shenmue OST? I don't illegally download music so I'd like to own the CD but I don't want to end up with a bootleg.
Are the Bootleg CD's on ebay of any lower quality or are they identical to the originals (as far as the quality of the audio goes)? I suppose I don't care too much if it's a copy as long as the sound quality is good.
Ok so I must say, after looking back through these pages and Peters various updated collection posts. He absolutely has the best Shenmue collection by far. That Japanese press release is just crazy awesome aswell as the signed Shenmue 2, plus his watch, the pen, the other various official rare as hell knick knacks. I probably started the first real legit collection followed by others like Sean who upped the ante, but then Peter busts out over time with just pure dedication, money and time into a well rounded beautiful mastery. The only thing I see you dont have is like the Ryo Hazuki Sega All-Stars Forklift and my Blue Shenmue 1 shirt. Besides that what are you missing? Bravo Peter.
I actually bid on a forklift a few weeks from a UK based seller on eBay. I went as far as £100, and got sniped at £102. I wasnt that disappointed because i thought a bid of £100 would have been enough to secure it, with the auction possibly ending at about £70-£80 maybe.
I am sure it will be added to the collection at some stage, but no rush.
It's a shame actually I don't see as many Shenmue items on eBay as usual any more. I guess collectors have swagged a lot of it but I'm sure there's still a few bits out there that people don't even know the worth of. One of the biggest sellers of Shenmue items on eBay seems to have no items left at all.
I'm pretty conflicted about Shenmue collecting, one one hand it's my favourite series and I am a sort of collector, on the other hand there isn't a ton of quality merchandise available outside of the actual games.
