I question that gif a little bit because the animation seems to completely skip a number of connecting frames in "Dante's" movements. Not saying it's not real, just that I'd believe an actual video a bit more.

I'll try it. I'm pretty finely tuned when it comes to action games because I like em so much. If I bitch or compliment the gameplay it won't be from the standpoint of someone who knows whats going on behind the scenes it'll be as someone who beat Ninja Gaiden Black without healing.

Not trying to beat a dead horse but this is a non biased view and states a few good points why the new Dante does not work.

Played the Demo. It as an action game fuctions. Awkward controls. It would be a decent action game as it's own IP. Dante sucks. This isn't DMC in any regard. Devil Trigger was rather pointless other than looking more stylish. Black and white..k but adds nothing

That vid So because NT did what Capcom asked them to do they don't like or respect DMC. These are the types of fans i hate.

To be fair, the PR from when this reboot was announced didn't do Ninja Theory any favours when they essentially said 'Old Dante? Pfft, fuck THAT guy, our vision is so much better.'

NT has made it very clear they hate the old Dante. They keep bashing him and mocking him then going off how theirs is truly how to be cool. SO if being an annoying loud mouth who says fuck you all the time..how come I am not the coolest person on these forums?

weeeeeeeeeeell look at Bionic commando and Dark void. Capcom gave orders to both studios to change the protagonist completely, but the teams both liked the main character, so Oldschool Rad is easily accessible in BC09, and in Dark Void they pretty much refused flat out to change the character design. Also BC09 isn't a reboot, but takes place in the same timeline.

NT isn't off the hook, it's terrible that people are defending NT which actually wanted to change DMC's formula, but people have nothing but bad things to say about the studios that were shoulder checked into making mediocre games by Capcom management.

Wait... Dark Void wasn't an old IP that they brought back, was it? I thought Dark Void Zero on the DS was an original title, just meant to look like an old NES game (with a phony backstory about having been shelved way back then).
