Job Interview on Wednesday and its been a while since Ive had one so its going to fill odd.

An Irishman, Aussie and a Scouser are in a bar and spot Jesus drinking on his own.

They each send him a drink over and he sips each one slowly.

When he's finished he walks over to the Irishman and shakes his hand and thanks him for the Guinness. "Fuck me, my arthritis has gone!"

Jesus then thanks the Aussie for the Fosters. "Fucking hell mate, my bad back's cured!"

Jesus approaches the Scouser who runs away screaming, "Fuck off, you cunt - I'm on disability benefit!"

Job Interview on Wednesday and its been a while since Ive had one so its going to fill odd.

I have a few tips, if you would like some to consider. Look up the company/businesses website in the meanwhile. Look at what products they sell or what services they provide and familiarize yourself with them. Look to see if you can find the CEO's name and the businesses mission statement or objective and recite it by heart. When you go into the interview, pass yourself off as someone who has goals and passion that resonates with those ends.

Tell the interviewer that while what they want to get out of the interview is to determine whether or not you are a good fit for the business, that what you want to get out of the interview is to determine if the company is going to be a good fit for you, asking questions about the company to that effect. Asking questions helps to make it sound like you're interested. Ask whether or not you are filling a new position or if you're replacing someone else. If you're replacing someone else, ask what kind of challenges may have lead to their departure. Ask to see if you can look around and see where you'll be working and meet some of the people you might be working with. (They might shoot you down, it doesn't matter. It helps make you sound interested)

Be ready to answer questions in turn. How do you deal with stress? How do you work under pressure? Will you be able to come in at a moments notice off regular shift when multiple people are sick? What is one example of you handling a situation in which you were outside your element and had to adapt? Have answers ready in the hangers for any of these questions. Some are easy. If they ask you why you want to work here, say that you're passionate about the companies services/products (see paragraph 1) and/or you're looking for a good bunch of people to grow with, even if you're just there really for the pay check. Ultimately though, just try to keep your ownership in the interview 50/50. Don't be submissive and act like you're only there for their benefit and to answer their concerns. They are there to address your questions and concerns every bit as much as you are there to address theirs.

Turns out my Warner Bros. submission is screwed since they want a mailed submission on top of an internet submission. I mailed it but I did it too late to get a post mark for today.

I'll call around in the next two days, but I'll be really lucky to get a post-marked date for today since from what I understand the dates are all automated for the postal system.

Actually, it may be fine after all! I got this FAQ response from them via automated e-mail:

My materials have all been uploaded online, but my confirmation page and submission agreement won’t be postmarked until Monday. Will I be disqualified?

-As long as your materials are uploaded online before the deadline, your mailed materials can arrive later.

TOTALLY contradicts what was said on my profile page but WHATEVER!
