I am making this thread as a placeholder.

I am building a mod team for Shenmue 3.

So it runs on Unreal Engine, so I am going to start converting all of the S1 and S2 textures to be readable in UDK.

They will come handy when S3 is out and we want to start tinkering with it.

I've not done anything for years with UDK but seeing S3 will be running on it has spiked my interest. Count me in!

ok sweet.

So pretty much I took each PVR file I could extract and made them into pngs and then into jpgs.

Ill be packaging them so we have them for when the game comes.

Ill speak to LanDC about the music as Shenmue isa bit hectic with how the hex code works.

I realize we could just get mp3s of the music but i want the raw data.

I have bitmap2material, that does pbr textures from difuse.

You know, normals, glossy, occlusion, etc maps.

I really wish I had time for this.

But it's interesting though. This being UE4 gives quite a lot of cool opportunities... there's a lot of stuff to do before the game is even released. Mini-games, props, etc. that would not necessarily end up in the game, due to budget restrictions or whatnot.

BUMP.

I finished converting all of the PVRs to a readably UDK4 format for shenmue 1 NTSC disc 3. I also did the Coke Machine textures.

Moving to S2 DC now.
