i wouldn't mind an option to rise earlier in order to see the sun rise, and also to walk around the villages just as everyone is waking up (a quiet early morning walk type of experience).
i also hope they keep the real time length of the days the same. this along with the curfew system make a 'shenmue day' the perfect length for a shorter gameplay session, as least for me. i get into a kind of rhythm with my play sessions as well.
imo the curfew system makes a day feel more real and significant because you are forced to sleep just like in real life. other open world games that don't force you to do this (like the witcher 3) makes the time simulation aspect seem meaningless.
