Dear lord, I can't believe I hadn't thought to post this before.

I remember as a kid, I was a huge fan of Full Throttle, and at some point I guess my dad heard me say I wanted the soundtrack. So he had to take a work trip back to the states for a couple weeks (we lived elsewhere at the time), and when he came back, he'd bought me and my brothers each a cd, since he would usually get us some kind of random gift after going back.
I guess he got his Lucasarts game mixed up though, and instead of the Full Throttle soundtrack, I ended up with the soundtrack to The Dig. So I take it as the nice gift that it was and went on my way with it, one of those "you got me the wrong thing, but I appreciate the thought" kind of mindsets.
Thing is, I eventually gave the cd a listen. I'd played through the game before and loved it, but it was that time in my life where I could love a game, sure, but individual aspects (art design, music, those kinds of things) were harder for me to pick out and appreciate on their own. But finally listing to the music by itself, no visual distractions whatsoever... it really made me latch on to it.
I listened to it over and over. I actually used to put on headphones at night while trying to fall asleep, and this ended up being a very frequent flyer in my cd player. Just such soothing, well-orchestrated stuff.
It embedded itself in my mind, and actually made me love the game it was from even more. But unfortunately, it's been years since I last played the game, so thinking about the music has escaped me for a very long time.
No clue why, but it just came back to me the other day.
So I posted it.
And all is right with the world.
The end.
