So I just picked up Gungriffon Blaze today... and I'm actually kind of floored by how unique the controls are.
This came out before dual-analog control for FPS's was the standard, so it opts for something completely different. And after you get used to it, it works surprisingly well. It's kind of hard to explain this feeling, but I almost want to say that it feels... stylish, in an odd way. It's not something you can just watch in a video. You genuinely have to feel how it plays for yourself, give it a bit of open-minded time to sink in, and see how you like it from there.
But I'm absolutely loving the little bit I've played so far. Now I'm feeling like as soon as I finally get hold of a Sega Saturn, the original Gungriffon will be among the first games I get.
Nice little bonus that the music is absolutely fantastic.
