They really effed up Mei Ling in all versions IMO. In the PS1 version she has those annoying Jonathan Ross r's. And I would be surprised if she was voiced by someone who was even remotely familiar with what Chinese people sound like.The accent is like Dick Van Dyke's cockney in Mary Poppins.

Twin snakes is a bit cuter and a lot easier to listen to but too whitebread for a character named Mei Ling.

They should have gone for a Zhang Ziyi type, just a tad more sophisticated/polished in her speech, and English speaking otaku around the world would have gone nuts.

Yeah I didn't have much interest in Metal Gear Rising. Then I played the demo (twice) and it was awesome.

I kind of want to check out Rising, hell I wanted to get the LE and the Lava Lamp and everyhing, but I doubt I will be buying any games for a while (unless they are ridiculously cheap, and probably for PC).

The wooden sword apparently can talk to Raiden, and it's Snake's Japanese VA doing the voice for it.

I hope Rising does well in sales and gives Platinum games the hit it deserves and I for one can't wait to play it....However, Games TM is the first review to mention that the game can be beaten in under 10 hours. I fear that, like seen with Vanquish, that will be the stick it's beaten with by reviewers and gamers alike. Doesn't really bother me considering that Bayonetta and Vanquish are just so fun to play that I can go back to it repeatedly. Seeing as I played the demo repeatedly, I get the feeling the same will be true here.
