Well every so often you get carpet combed or a truck tried to eat your dick but I never saw any tsunamis, I only played a few multiplayer matches though so its possible its in one of those modes.

^Natural catastrophes and such don't happen all of a sudden, like, in random moments or something?

Oh yeah, magical space vortex opens up and sucks you away and portals open up and tons of really strong monsters come after you. That sort of thing, not really any tsunamis though. There's a Kraken in the game as a boss.

How are the bosses in MGR??

The first boss was cake, all the ones after were alittle frustrating since you coulden't just get by using the standard battle system they made you use blade mode a few times. It wasen't bad it felt pretty natural but I fucked up alot and got killed cause of it.

Kojima getting "mature" and "taboo" on our arses with the new MGS! What could this mean? Personally I still rate MGS 1 as being the pound for pound most mature MGS game, not that the other games didn't have poignant moments, it's just that they were usually a tad more jarring and harder to take seriously in the context of all the other extreme ridiculousness or overblown indulgence (things that I did like too, to be honest) that they were caught up in.

I like the way Koj is talking though, even if it doesn't turn out as "taboo" as he's hyping it (I find it unlikely that it will be), it sounds like he's got his creative juices flowing.

Here's my theory what the next Metal Gear will have:

Slavery, human trafficking and finally army camps where children are turned into dead eyed soldiers for the local guerilla forces to fight (remember those kids locked away in the cages in the first trailer).

Keep in mind that Big Boss was extremely guilty of the latter two when he went "mad", so there's a good chance this will be the game where we see his "downfall" into insanity. Which would explain that crazy dream-like trailer where he's in a hospital. Kojima's obviously going to be making a darker, more psychological Metal Gear. Which is neat. Hopefully a return to form.

Now that would be terrific (and meaningfully terrifying).
Hope that Metal Gear ends up adressing some of those issues down the line. It makes sense in the context of the series, the emotional impact would be tremendous and it would give ample room for proper debate about war in general and violence in videogames.
