No it's not. It been done before on others Anns and just regular collectors editions.
Why is it limited to just sony? FF started off on NES then SNES. It's a lazy set. If they can spend a half billion on multiple FFXIII's then they can do a little license bullshit

All the games have been released before on Sony consoles so they don't need to sort shit out with the likes of Nintendo and Microsoft. I don't know if Square has any contract with Sony or not but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want FFVII or other classics on the Xbox. As I said if it was easy to get FFVII on the Xbox it would have come out on Xbox Live awhile ago. I'm sure more people want it on that then they did the PC version just re-released.

The reason it's unrealistic is you want 13 soundtracks which usually take up about 3 or 4 discs each. 1200 pages worth of art which is going to pretty fucking big. This is already going to cost a ton in shipping as it is.

^^When exactly?

And like Riku said, there could easily be a lot of licensing crap to consider behind the scenes. It's not always as easy as just putting anything they want on any system at all.

It's Street Fighter. No one has ever had any particular exclusivity on it. Capcom have always been able to do whatever they want with it.
And the Mega Man one is just a soundtrack collection. Not quite the same thing.

But the point being made is that it's unrealistic, not impossible. Otherwise they would've done it. There's probably something keeping them from doing it.

You mean the same Square who owns a Final Fantasy Fashion line of expensive clothes? Square can do whatever it wants.

You do realize that big business is a lot more complicated than the simple question of how much money someone has, right? Legalities are an incredibly important part of the process.

They have FF on VC & Eshop. They can do it for multiple platforms. There is NEO Geo and old SEGA games and Capcom Konami on multiple services. Eshop,VC,Steam,PC,XBL,PSN. You have FInal Fantasy references from a Sony released FF on Nintendo systems like Wii,3DS,GBA,DS.

And the disc bonus and stuff might keep you entertained for an evening. ;-)
Same.

Read on below for details on the world-ending countdown timer, day-night cycle, and more.

- Once again, this game is “World Driven” (mentioned at the anniversary event)
- Begins immediately after
- Those who have appeared in FFXIII-2 haven’t died due to the effects of chaos
- Four continents on Novus: two urban continents, two natural
- Lightning’s actions could cause the game to end before 13 days
- Also mentioned previously: players may choose to help others, but doing so may decrease the countdown clock sooner
- Completing some quests/killing enemies may increase the countdown clock
- Lightning is more refined
- One day in the game world is 1-2 hours in the real world
- While you can control Lightning freely in battle, there will be timed elements
- Lightning will come across murders in the city
- It won’t take tons of hours to complete the game once, relating to how Square Enix hopes players will beat it many times
- No menu battle commands
- Assign abilities to buttons and use these in battle [No shit, SE?]
- Hope hands out advice to Lightning through means of wireless communication
- Clocks are scattered throughout the city showing time progressing

Sounds interesting i guess, not really that big on timers myself but if it has high replay value then hopefully it's a lot more diverse than previous games
