I can't wait for this, except that I still have to get through Kenzan, 3, 4 and Dead Souls before I let myself play it...

Are you planning to import Kenzan? I wouldn't be able to play it for very long. Knowing how text heavy these games are and not being able to understand a single word of it wouldn't be the best experience for me. I plan to watch the entire thing on KHHSubs when it's finished..

I already have it. It's just as you expected with a LOT of text and things I don't understand, but I can get the jist of what they're saying and KHHSubs have done all the story cutscenes by now, haven't they?

They're completely covering the entire game with their new project. Sidestories, cutscenes, the lot.

Here's an example of the Prologue:

That one I've seen already, and it's all very good quality. I should find a walkthrough as well so I can discover everything first hand as well...

Probably one at GameFAQs. Look for members called either barticle or ThePatrick. They've made some of the most complete guides for both Yakuza 3 and 4.

There's only one there for Kenzan, but I haven't looked at it in detail yet as I don't want to spoil the story for myself. Hopefully it covers all the side stories in it. There were guides for the first two that were perfect.

Damn that looks good. This series has came a long way. As a Shenmue fan it still makes me a little bitter, haha.

I'm hoping for a simultaneous release on Y5.Waiting a year after the japanese release is tiresome.

I wouldn't mind so much if we got the Yakuza HD collection to tide us over. It's a shame these games are never made with an international audience in mind talking localisation terms..

Well after the success of pretty much every other Yakuza game outside of Japan you would think they would go into this one planning on translating it for a international release soon after the Japanese one or simultaneously.

But we know Sega, they don't do much that makes sense it seems.
