I am on the verge of tears. I am 21 now and I remember pre-ordering it when it came out for N64 in 1998 and getting all the goodies for pre-ordering it. I actually still have the temporary tattoos that came with it if you pre-ordered it from Electronics Boutique.

But if they failed, twice, maybe, just maybe, they would open their eyes and were to start at least thinking about doing new, meaningfull games instead of being just a marketing machine.

I would say the same of Sony, Microsoft or whoever if they were to fall so low as Nintendo has.

DS in 2004 has nothing to play for a year and now has sold 150 million and counting.
PSP started off very sluggish with high price small library and racist advertising(same with PS3) PSP has now sold 70 million units and counting. PS3 50 million and counting.

I can't predict nor will I attempt to predict 3DS long run sales will be. It might be safer to say MAYBE not sell as much as DS (kinda hard to replicate that kinda success twice in any market) but willing to bet in the long run will sell plenty and be a big success.

the thing is they ARE doing new and interesting ideas like Xenoblade and Captain Rainbow. The issue is really NOA more then it is Nintendo itself. To be honest, Nintendo puts out far more interesting and varied 1st party software then Sony or microsoft and takes more risks and is the industry leader when it comes to hardware.

Your opinion is your own, and it is valuable, but theres no denying certain facts.

Not a single game on 3DS yet I want. The one I wanted was cancled. Going to wait till it has an abundance of RPG's and don't give a flying fuck about any 1st party games on 3DS.Tho that Tri-Ace game looks enticing.
