In advance, sorry for giant wall of text.
Just witnessed some gun violence and am pretty pissed about it so heres the story.
So im at my friendly neighborhood chipotle mexican resturant chain today and suddenly a man starts threatening one of the female staff. Its her boyfriend and he's pissed about something. They go outside and he starts beating her up.
Before I have a chance to run out there and defend her, he's run to his car and comes back with a gun. The guy starts pointing it at her. A security guard in the parking lot who doesnt know whats going on and doesnt see him with a gun comes over. The guy threatens the guard. A guard I actually see all the time and say whats up to alot. The guard backs off onces he sees he's got a gun and the gunman threatens the guard that he'll shoot him.
After that he runs away. I dont see whats going on cause im on lock down inside the resturant. I called my wife to tell her I love her while im in lock down. She stays on the phone with me for awhile before the cops come. They start searching the area. Tons and tons of cop cars show up. Helicopters fly over head. Its a fucking man hunt. The cops aparently searched all over the shopping area which spans four or so blocks up a large hilly area.
I later learn the cops shoot the gunman in the movie theather across the way. The gunman aparently shot someone before being caught. Not her girlfriend but someone else in the theater.
Heres a shot I took from afar where the police are surrounding the gunmans car which he abandon.
I didnt choose to talk to the cops but others that saw everything like me did.
The rest is news.
Fuck guns. After all this gun violence in the past 6 months in the U.S. Im fucking sick of it. And to witness this kinda of shit where I could have very well been killed by this rampaging lunatic I am now even more anti-gun then I was before. Thank god for the cops and for detaining this guy right away but for fuck sakes make the gun violence stop altogether.
This is not my first time witnessing gun violence, but I want it to be the last.
