If Apple made video game consoles, they'd sue the big three for using cables as a delivery system for getting power from the outlet, just like they use.

Funny. When this gen started I was bitter at sony. Loved Mario. Over time modern gaming lost interest for me. It seemed every avenue I looked everyone was in the same brown rut. Turned out I was looking in the wrong places. Grew to love all 3 consoles all the handhelds. Looked in less checked corners of the internet, games and such. NOw as this gen is fading I am really going to miss it. Lasted a long time and loved it for that as well. Is this one of the best gens? No. Oddly one of my favorites however. Mainly because how absorbed I was able to be in a community, self discovery as a gamer. So many aspects directly with gaming or indirectly made me grow to cherish this gen. I believe I will cherish this gen almost as much as the 16 bit era.

I almost missed this gen, I have no idea what happened but I had a Wii, Xbox 360 and a PS3 but each for about 6 months max! I didn't play many games at all, normally just playing the odd few games on my PC. Very odd as I am still interested in gaming. It's been like that since 2006 but just recently I picked up an xbox 360 and now that games are cheaper I will buy them and blast through them. Already bought 10 games and currently going through Sonic Racing Transformed, might not be the most fashionable game on here but it is fucking fun.

Had my 360 since day 1 which is one of the reasons I'm ready for a leap but Ive still had plenty of great games to play this gen.

But the big problem is very few studios are willing to try something new and everyone's just making a clone of other games at the moment.

Yeah, with some peeps it's just a fucking joke. I mean, I spend a lot of time on games, but goddamn. First, take your time to enjoy the game, second, there is life beyond walls.

Ordered my 360 for launch but it was sold out everywhere for about 6 months so didn't get it until after Christmas. I never go after achievements but I think I'm somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000.

Depends on the game. Don't care for online achievements and actually think they ruin the game because too many play for them.

But games i really like be it Alan Wake, Hitman Bloodmoney and so on i try to get them all in large part cause they have some creative ones that add extra replay value to the games.

Would be nice if MS actually did something with the points next gen rather than have them as an online pissing contest that really no one wins.

I like "see if you can do this" achievements a la Mirror's Edge that have you looking up new moves or new ways of playing.

Fallout 3 and new vegas, rayman origins, super smash bros brawl, strangers wrath HD, Jack n daxter trilogy list goes on.
Damn this gen has been a good one!
(Cruel I only got my ps3 a few months ago) :P
Never really got into the wii but it was brilliant when I got it.

I have waited for someone to say that since I first got my Xbox 360. =D>

I'm currently still really liking this gen. :D Looking really forward to starting Deus Ex: Human Revolution, over the course of the last ~18ish months, have only really stuck to "Brand" titles (Skyrim, Final Fantasy 13, Far Cry 3, Oblivion, umm Minecraft, a bit of Forza and Just Cause 2 thrown in, probably a few others I've forgotten about) but for the most part, played the shit outta them (though I always did like meaty games anyway) and loved most of it. I spent a few years not caring much about games, which actually started at the start of this gen (since I got rid of my white 360 after a few months of it not engaging me enough), but seem to have become interested again. Some of the more unknown titles that some of you guys talk about really appeal, I keep those pages bookmarked for something to maybe try once I've got through the backlog of stuff I've still to do, gaming wise, which is quite a damned lot...
