Ryos face looks a bit too large but those statues always look amazing.Way out of my price range though.

They should also make a Lan Di statue.

a) How tall are these?

b) How much money should we raise to bomb Sega with Ryo Hazuki statues? We should at least send a complimentary one to Yu Suzuki ;-)

That statue looks epic. It would be cool if First 4 Figures also made some Shenmue action figures like how they made Sonic ones.

I would have never expected a Shenmue collectible of this caliber. It's pretty cool to see a statue of our Ryo made by a company that has also made Zelda, Sonic and Metroid statues(and it seems like only a handful from other franchises). The decision on whether I'll get it depends on how much and how big it is. I've seen price estimates but does anyone have any guesses on how tall it will be? And I doubt we'll have to buy one for Yu Suzuki. I would hope he would be the first in line to buy one for himself.

Wowsers, that looks properly awesome, great looking sculpture. I wonder how they got Sega to let them use the license (Sega has been rather generous with it lately considering the Insert coin collection too...could this be a good sign?)

I would love to get one of these, but am unsure if I will be able to justify the price tag. I used to be into these kinds of statues a little bit, I had one those Pop Culture Shock Street Fighter statues, and was thinking of getting another one. But then I became totally disenchanted with them when I realised that I was paying premium prices for statues cheaply made in Chinese factories, and despite incredibly limited production runs the quality control was often abominable. I assume this company is the same that regard, though it would great if it wasn't.

I don't think it was difficult for them to acquire. Just look at the number of statues they have from the Sonic series.

Hmm, yeah that's true. But we've seen more official Shenmue products coming from 3rd party manufacturers over the last year or so then we've seen in the last ten years (that's because there was none before...just the random old promotional Shenmue merch that would pop up on ebay ). In comparison Sega have allowed Sonic to get pimped out to the max for years now.

Haha, I actually think it looks very good, from that picture at least anyway. Ryo- while more east Asian looking than most video game characters- was never super traditionally Japanese looking. He's always had tanned skin and wider eyes.
