Oddworld

I don't often play video games any more, but half way through last year, I felt compelled to play Oddworld (in my opinion, a game superior to Shenmue).
The first games are 2D puzzle games, and are centred around a slave who escapes from a meat processing plant and attempts to save the indigenous wildlife from extinction before returning to free his brothers from the factory (and later, mines, mill and brewery).

The games emerged at a similar time to Shenmue, so maybe some of you picked them up around that period. How do you feel about them?

How long have they been working on this? A quick search on Youtube yields this footage. It's been a long time since I bought a new video game, but I think that will change.

I'm also a huge fan of the platformers. Even though the other games were meant to be good, I couldn't really get into them. But Oddysee and Exoddus, yep, solidly and consistently in the single-figures on my constantly changing "list".

I wish games like Oddworld were still being made. But I wish they weren't so cluttered. On the other hand, if they simplified it, it wouldn't be Oddworld, I guess.

We can all agree hands down that the art both in the games, concept, fan art, everything as fantastic
