Might be next gen (after the PS4, Wii-U, Durango, etc.), might be in five generations. One thing's for sure though, it won't be until about 90% of the current board in Japan have moved on.

People at Sega are probably keeping a close eye on news about the new wave of budget consoles, while minimizing the browser window any time colleagues walk by. Colleagues who are doing the same thing.

Can't say I am interested. Even if they were coming out here. Just seems like a cheap gimmick to me for a product that isn't cheap price wise. Sure it has SEGA's name on it, would you buy a dog turd if it had SEGA's name on it too?

I'd get the Megadrive one. It had High Definition graphics.

The entry-level model packs an Intel Pentium 2020M chip with a 500GB hard drive and 4GB of RAM, with the next model upping the stakes to an Intel Core i3-3120M processor, 500GB hard drive and 8GB of RAM, while also replacing the lower model's DVD drive with a Blu-ray reader. The near-top version, meanwhile, boasts a Core i7-3630QM chip with 8GB of RAM and a 120GB SSD, while the top-end model matches those specifications but replaces the Blu-ray reader with a writer. Each comes with a Full HD 15.6" display, and a choice from the aforementioned four lid finishes - except for the peak model, which comes with all four lid types for easy swapping and changing depending on mood.

Junk PC's. Nothing more than a cool collectors item but as a laptop they are pretty crap. Save your money get a better PC and slap a decal on it

Courtesy of Eurogamer comes a few new photos of the SEGA Note PC, and this time they aren’t just mock-ups! On display is the general blue SEGA branded laptop, both in use and being carried. We also get a peek at the desktop, which features a snazzy Dreamcast themed wallpaper. According to Eurogamer, while the laptops will probably not include SEGA emulators or games, they will include SEGA Windows themes and SEGA music pre-loaded onto the laptop. A full list of the specs can be found here, and after the break check out a gallery of new images.

Other than having the decals there is nothing about these things worth buying. It's crap meant to suck money from suckers.

Label me all you want, but once these come down in price a bit, i will buy them all and not even open. These are collectors items of the highest order, marking some milestones for Sega. They are not fake, 3rd party or low in design quality. i love them as a collector, but as a laptop user, they are brutal. But i wouldnt buy them to use, just to own them, because theres something about these which i feel mean/are worth something to Sega, and i want to be a part of it.
