Toothpaste and technology is a short-lived relationship. Not as short as a one-night stand, and not solid enough for you to be expecting wedding bells. In fact, it doesn't even go as far as getting to use a drawer. More like a casual thing, and one starts to get too clingy, so one fucks off the other, depending on who's smarter.

I'm having a hard time agreeing with Beedle's comment about Wind Waker :P

It's not that I don't think it's better than Twilight Princess, I do. It's just that "way" better is a little much. If this was 2006 I would have said "way" better in a heartbeat, but Twilight Princess has really grown on me over the years. I'm acting like such a turdmonger.

Very atmospheric... it has its merits.

TP's fishing hole is the only good thing about it.

WW could've had some good quality fishing areas considering the whole damn game is in an ocean, but considering it has better level designs, a better story, more interesting boss battles...it'll have to do as far as a good game.

But the fishing hole alone in TP gives it more of an edge. Then again OOT kicks both their asses for having all of the above.

It is kind of odd that the game that takes place on a giant ocean has no real fishing mini-game (minus shooting arrows at the fish on Outset Island). Actually, one of the main reasons I go back to Twilight Princess is for the fishing. I wish they'd release a fishing videogame that is somewhat similar to Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time. Maybe not in the fishing mechanics but in the atmosphere. Sega Bass Fishing and Sega Marine Fishing, for instance, sucks because I have to fish while listening to upbeat rock music... it just doesn't work for me.

nah buddy, haven't even played final fantasy. tales of symphonia is the only jrpg i've played really. and i hated it so

wind waker wasn't perfect by any means, the end was really bad. but i loved it. and I prefer it to ocarina of time, I think it's the best 3D zelda.

Broken Record: The game flat sucks

wow glad I've found someone who agrees with me about that game

also wind waker is wayyyy better than twilight princess

Hellz yeah, Wind Waker is tied as my favourite with Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask is really tedious, never understood the cult status it has achieved. Everybody and their dog has taken a shit on it, but I think Phantom Hourglass is a pretty solid Zelda game myself. I liked the dungeon crawling and it gets right into the action [you get to your first dungeon in ten minutes, if that], with little in the way of tutorials, which bogged down Twilight Princess. No idea about Skyward Sword. Seemed like that one split everybody's opinion up.

Can't remember. Last i played was WW and while it wasn't bad i just couldn't stay interested in it for some reason.

Edit: with Ocarina of Time i got up to when Link is older.

I never liked it when I played it years ago but I think looking back I've come to respect it more, it kind of did things a bit differently.

Skyward Sword, I had a copy, tried playing it while i was ill but kept passing out so can't really form an opinion

(just to make this a bit more on topic for petey, gonna say the metroid prime games are great, get those)

I'm with WRC on this one, never been able to finish a 3D zelda game due to getting extremely bored with them usually towards the end of the game

on the other hand I have completed every gameboy zelda and ALTTP

I couldn't tell you how many hours I played Pikmin on the GC. It's so addictive. Never got to play the second one. Someone above mentioned harvest moon, I got lost in the fishing. Also addictive.

The only other games I had on it weren't GC exclusives but played much smoother than the PS2 versions. Medal of Honour Front line is a great example.

Also a Gameboy link cable is worth buying. I remember on Zelda you had a constant map on the screen. It adds a little something to a lot of games.

^Long time no see!

Gonna throw in a recommendation for Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It's a great place for newcomers to step in ("casual mode" means no perma-death for your characters). It's a really fun game, when you're in the mood for a strategy game.

I hear the graphics are pretty decent on that but who can afford the machine to run it? You must be rich.
