I jumped in to pre-order the exclusive edition, how could I not. I may still take a stab at uploading a time on this though. I don't expect to win, but who couldn't use an opportunity to play more Shenmue :-)

Which one's the prize? I wouldn't mind a mini Phoenix Mirror.

The Exclusive version, with the phoenix mirror base.

Ziming will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you win the contest and you've already pre-ordered the Exclusive statue, you'll get your order free of charge.

If I'm right about that then perhaps it should be added to the rules page to encourage more entries.

I think I'll take part on it. But I reject the prize. Some of you must know I ordered the statue and I don't want to deprive someone to win it (speaking in case I'm even able to make the 1st time, witch I doubt). Just to play with you, guys.

I will either need to use a video capture card, or record with a potato

Fixed that for you, in line with the contest rules.

(And it's not as hard as you'd think - potatoes have eyes, after all.)

I wonder if the 100+ hours I spent maxing out every move will finally pay off.

There's no doubt I forgot about which save file that was and over-wrote it ](*,)

Edit -- I still have the file! Huh. I gotta work on not sucking at free battle...I'm rusty. Also have to master throw moves and not the stupid counter throws. And find a way to record a video, I'm technologically impaired. Will current fast times be publicized so we know what we have to best, or is it a mystery?

To clarify: Are variety of moves/fighting style only considered when there is a tie in time? So, if someone finished in 3 minutes flat button mashing the X button, would they win over the person who finished in 3 minutes and 2 seconds, but used some bad-ass combos and stylistic choices?

Your are not going to get the fastest time button smashing your way through it, and it's highly unlikely we will have a tie because the timer utilizes milliseconds. The fastest times I've seen are all from Japan. Do you believe they accomplished it by mashing the X button?
