I knew about Miyawaki appearing in S2 as that guy in the White Dynasty Qr. (whose stall is never open), but where does he appear in S1?

It's said that Kenji Miyawaki was a model of Kenta Shimizu, one of the surveyors at the harbor, though the resemblance is not so evident:

First time ever I visited the Moon Child Orphanage in Shenmue II. I beat this game possibly more than 7 times in my life but I always missed this story path (and it's still the case as it's a ripped save found on the web).
The music immediately gave me chills and I saw it as a glimpse of the encounter between Ryo and the children of Bailu Village.

Infact, my initial objective was to find the original Baihu arena in this specific quarter and I think I have managed to (although it's still not clear). I think Amir you will know what I'm talking about after you read the Yu's bio. ;)

I came across it on my latest playthrough a few weeks ago, and I thought "I don't think I've been before, but is that possible?" I'd played Shenmue II at least four times before but somehow had never come across the orphanage before, it's so surreal when you do first see it.

Long Zha meet-up tonight in London was a lot of fun. Nah, I think Chai wanted to bring the mirror to Lan Di to gain higher status within the Chi You Men. Just providing information wouldn't be enough to get that.

I can't remember, I think you ask someone about birds instead of bells and you go looking straight for bird shops instead.

Asked Corey Marshall a question at the Long Zha that didn't end up being recorded, was about differences between working on Shenmue I and II, wanted to know if team sizes were different, different directors, etc. He said it was the exact same team working on the dubbing in the exact same location, so it doesn't sound to me like Microsoft was involved in the dubbing, might have been put in place by Sega before the US version got canned, I don't know.

There's a funny but interesting mistake in Ren Dan's english voice files. He says something in a totally different voice at 8:36 in the video. He should be saying "Oh, this? This is my, um, stock..." but instead he says "This is something that is only found at the top of Mt. Xumi.". As Miles Prower pointed out on YouTube this line belongs to the salesman at the end of Dragon Street in Kowloon and is about the gemstone he sells. I've looked into his files and guess what! He uses the line that is supposed to be for Ren Dan...

They really screwed this one up, completely reversing what goes where. I wonder how it happened. I mean it's not even on the same disc and the files start with different letters. The character ID's are also anything but similar with TNZ_ for Ren Dan and MFM_ for the salesman.
