Forgive me if this question has been asked already on this thread, but why can't you purchase Jet Cola Six Packs at the Tomato Convenience Store?

For that matter, what's the point of purchasing a beverage in a video game if it has no added boost to your health or your fighting prowess?

- Probably because the developers wanted that the beverage dispenser stays 100% useful or the players would have boycotted it given its weak ratio if the packs were available. Also to save a precious second for the shop loading, I suppose.

- The beverage has no point but to give you a chance to win the lottery special can (free capsule toys). Infact, the purpose was mainly to add realism and coolness about something you always dreamt to do in a videogame before.

i actually found a box with a gun texture design (not a 3d model) in one of the rooms from those buildings in Kowloon.

There's even a seamingly real revolver in some rooms. It's only a flat texture and part of the table but it's there.

If you're absolutely looking for something plausible, try to think that Chinese cartels probably have a deal with the local government. The latter gets some part of their precious income (from drug trafficking, racketeering, etc.) and in return the criminal organizations can continue their activities but promise not to use guns to keep the situation as steady and discreet as possible. About the Mad Angels, finding a gun in Japan is simply a difficult task.

But what does this mean exactly? If people know his 'hotdogs' are, in actuality, narcotics, what if they (the people) are the 'baked potatoes' who conveniently disappear, never to be seen again, after indulging in one of them, and the only reason he spared Ryo of this fate was because the Tornado Kick is the equivalent of an offensive weapon - which he 'smuggled' into Ryo by teaching it to him - so there's liability now? That explains why he chose to get out of Japan...
