OUTCAST MAKING A COMBEACK!

Amazing PC title Outcast was recently bought by its original creators with the intention of making a new game.

If you haven't played it, GoG has it on sale for like 3$. Buy it, play it, and bask in the amazing awesomeness of it.

The founders of the original game's development studio, Yann Robert, Franck Sauer and Yves Grolet, have bought the rights to game off Atari, with the aim of reviving the franchise.

This is possibly the best news you will hear all week.

Seriously, look at the video above. In terms of open world design, enemy AI and visuals, it was lightyears ahead of its peers. Can't wait to see a more modern treatment.

I'm guessing you mean the Twon-ha, and yea. Its basically like Stargate.

With 7th Guest 3, Dreamfall, and Broken Age coming out theres a lot of great oldschool adventure and action adventure coming out again. Very hype.

Best era in gaming seems to be coming back in both on Consoles and PC with indies withe bringing back old franchise,followups or just games that feel from retro era. For the most part they are putting out better games on a whole than the AAA high budget stuff.

Pretty much yea, I'm more excited for indie stuff coming out then most big budget stuff.

This is really good news. I just played it for the first time a year or so ago. Blew me away. Leaps and bounds ahead of most "open world games" from the same time. Really set the stage for expansive environments. There were even plans for a Dreamcast port. Probably wouldn't have helped sales all that much, but we'd all have been talking about it.
