Hi Guys,

Here is another modded iso coming to you from Wude and myself.

This modded iso is for EMU ONLY as it is 1 gigabyte. Unless you can burn GD-Roms that is :mrgreen:


Confirmed working in Reicast and NullDC

What it includes:
Playable Beta Maps (Credited to Wude):
Sakuragaoka
Yamanose

Wish Road Playable (Credited to Wude)

The entire SCENE Folder for What's Shenmue. (Credited to Shengoro86)



Modded Area Codes:
For wish road:

Scene 01
Area D000
Entry 01 or 02

For Beta Sakuragaoka
JD00

For Beta Yamanose
JU00

For all What's Shenmue Maps (Credited to Shengoro86):

Scene has to be set to 80 (this is directly copied from the What's Shenmue Disc)
Note: The tutorial areas are included (the areas where the high res head models explain stuff in the game), however, the head models are not there so you can see the map itself!

What's Shenmue Area Codes (Thanks IlDucci):
CHAF - You Arcade copy.
EPLG - You Arcade and Yukawa's Dreamcast room. Ending scene.
GICF - Unknown area in Amihama.
GMCT - Unknown area in Dobuita, with You Arcade content.
GSEN - You Arcade. This is the copy that's used in the game (Contains a duplicate of Yukawa's 4PM card)
HGMF - Warehouse No. 8. Possibly Mark's level.
HGRF - Guilin area. Possibly Shenhua's level.
HGSF - Hong Kong area. Possibly Xiuying's level.
HGYF - Hazuki's Residence - Dojo. Possibly Ryo's level.
KOTF - Unknown. Maybe Oishi's antique shop?
SUSI - Dobuita area (With Tomato's)
SYPF - Unknown. Seems to be the inside of a building.

What is missing:
Wude's updated Wish Road Hack


Where I want to go from here:
I REALLY want to just make an Ultimate Shenmue 1 CDI.

For the next release I want to include:
All What's Shenmue maps with hacked ECAM hex for free roam to bypass the in game area restrictions.
Wude's Updated Wish Road hack with frozen timer
My Bike Mod. Yes, it is actually in a finished alpha state.

Please keep up your good work guys. This is an amazing project and I can see an 'ultimate version of shenmue' playable on the actual hardware very soon with the recently released/ upcoming gdemu.

Wow thanks for this.

After playing it for a while I absolutley prefer the beta version over the final, specially Sakuragaoka, the trees and vegetation... :shock: , it looks more organic in the beta opposed to how blocky looks in the final game.

Not sure why they changed it.

I think the major reason to remove details (like trees...) between the beta and final is (sadly) optimization.

By the way, this is in no way anything new. These maps have been known about for a long time. It was just hard for most people to enjoy. These mods can be confusing and there was no central location for a disc image that was premodded.

Yeah. They are not new. Shengoro make a mod to give the posibility to play for all fans.

There is another version of this mod that is playable on actual hardware. I took out the whats shenmue maps to make the cdi size small enough for 80 min cdrs. This is now available for everyone to enjoy!

Its in the shenmue community projects section.

Finally I was able to test in on real hardware ( thanks to Wude, Shengoro86) and I don't see any heavy performance issues, it performs as, better, than Dobuita (retail) and it looks way better than the final version, yes it is plenty of bugs, I guess some changes were made to improve gameplay, some locations are harder to acces, walk, in the beta, but It still don't explain why they cut the graphics :?:

Anyway I'm so happy to see this running on actual hardware :)
