That also sounds like a great idea. Maybe an idea would be to have them in small sub screens within the screen. Also Virtua Cop was also designed by Yu Suzuki and light gun games were greatly influenced by it so I would include footage of Virtua Cop 2 too perhaps.

I don't think Virtua Cop is as well-known, though. Hell, I forgot about it until you mentioned it :P

Looking real nice with a light Gaussian Blur! The subscreen idea won't really work because of differences in aspect ratios but having small clips that fade into each other works really well.

I think a good song for the video could be this Shenmue online song.

I'm not so sure. I think the trailer has to outline how ambitious and large the project is. I've chosen Flag of Lions as the main song because I believe it portrays that feeling perfectly. It gets the person watching excited and want to see more, encouraging them to pledge in the Kickstarter.

I'm getting very close to the final product here! I think I'd like to add in some fighting scenes during the black screen text. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please post ASAP as I'd like to call the next version final. Thanks :D

It isn't so well known but it inspired and influenced more popular light gun games like Time Crisis and House of the Dead. I think many Saturn era fans definitely remember the two Virtua Cop titles as well since they were top sellers on the system. Definitely wouldn't hurt to put some footage in but that's just my opinion.

V3 is even better. I wish Suzuki san could share the original footage of himself from the Kickstarter without the cheesy text overlays and documentary type dub so that you could use it in your video. :( This would make for such a superior video for the Kickstarter page imo.

Yeah, me too. Even if I wanted to use any of the dubbed KS footage, I can't because of the background music behind it. I'm glad you like it though. It's late at night where I am now, so I'll finish it off tomorrow :)

Getting better and better, so impressive!

Only suggestion I have now is to drop the "these features include" line, just go straight to naming the features.

As for a suggestion for a fight scene, maybe a bit of FREE against Baihu, and then the final QTE against Dou Niu? Anyone else got any other suggestions?

It looks fantastic so far, but I would try to "sync" the video better with the music. It seems like at the most intense parts of the song, something not as exciting is happening in the footage. I suggest trying to fit in more battle and QTE footage.

Particularly around 1:20, the video has been excellent up to that point, but after all of the build up cuts to the arcade, jukebox, and capsule toys. At that very moment I would show Ryo fighting someone, or in a chase QTE of some sort.

Those are very good points above as well.

As for the interview section maybe you could remove the audio entirely and fans could dub instead (maybe someone well known, maybe that nice guy from Gametrailers who went bonkers during the announcement lol). Something like that could be a lot of fun and build hype but probably a lot of trouble to set up. Anyway I love that vid, really should be passed around on Twitter/ facebook / any other social networking platform like crazy when it's all done.
