While he sees it in a good light, it's still this idea of the KS just to "gauge interest" and that Sony will provide most of the money.

I've made a little clarification about it under the username manueltripero, hopefully people will stop thinking "this is a done project".

This is terrible. It is good he posts it in a positive light but if he is spreading misinformation then that cements the image, people like him carry lots of weight, and I don't mean that literally >_>

He clarified with a notation at the start of the video.

Hopefully like the mantra said "there's no such thing as bad publicity".

annonations can't be viewed on Mobile phones, tablets, or other Youtube applications.

HE NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS EPISODE.

FUCK, why is this game so fucking cursed?! Every goddam Journalolololist is hopping on the "IT'S ACTUALLY TO GAUGE INTEREST" bandwagon.

... As if the Kickstarter needed more slowing down.

FUCK.

Besides swinging wide of the mark on the funding issue, the thing that pisses me off about this and other peoples stories in the media is that, in their cyncial commentary about Kickstarter, they make it sound like we're just outright donating, giving our money away, paying for the big corporation to make the game and that we're all just suckers.

But dont they mention we actually get rewarded for doing so, with early access and other cool physical things in ways that you couldn't get with just pre-order bonuses, in the form of PLEDGE REWARDS. Also, we get a heads up on the game as its being made, instead of waiting for a trailer and speculating for months and overanlysising 30 seconds of footage. This is way more exciting.

This video is probably the worst example of this misrepresentation as an excuse to rag on something. Yes, some of us Dojoers probably would donate for nothing in return, but that is not what kickstarter is.

You know sometimes I really hate how the gaming community can be so negative and destructive towards everything -_-

We could ask him. Explain to him the damage he's doing by now removing the episode, that some users won't see the annotations and that it's dangerous and hurtful journalism.

he admits the facts are wrong but is keeping the video up anyway. why? money from clicks no doubt. he may not want to have all that time making the video wasted, but if its wrong, then he has to take responsibility and remove it.

the annotation on the video at the beginning is good, but really he needs to re edit to include it on the actual video footage.

some people watch youtube with annotations off (especially on mobile devices) and they miss the underbar completely.

Just asked him to take down the video or change it. In the last few minutes it's just gone private. Maybe he's listening.

I explained to him that he commands a certain repsonsibility because of his large audience and that a video like that could make or break the campaign. That the Kickstarter was vital. Did it in direct resposne to comments. I know he read it because his comment had been posted 30 seconds prior. A minute after I posted, the video went private. Pretty sure he's changing it now.

Hopefully Yu sees the amount of misinformation being spread and ends up doing the PayPal thing after the Kickstarter is over.

Seems like he's going to change it.

I didn't think the original video was that bad, it had some legit concerns, but also outdated information and instead of going to the source (Shuhei, Suzuki, Boyes interviews/videos) he went for the already biased media.

Hopefully he won't be mad while making the new video lol

Guys, he's just gonna take the piss out of us in the new video. Don't set yourself up like that, the annotation was a good enough addition and the video was well-balanced overall, now we all just look like nutjobs.

Before taking down the video, he threatened to make another tearing up Suzuki's "$10M needed for on open world" comment. Even though every Shenmue fan who commented was extremely polite, only asking him to re-upload it to clear up the misunderstanding.

Then he says this:

I'll never watch his videos again.
