Will you experience Shenmue 3 with another person?

I will be experiencing the game not all by myself. To ensure that one isin't ahead of the other, the real journey of this overwhelming story will be played together with my older brother simultaneously. Who else is not going to play Shenmue 3 alone? I doubt that a high majority will however.

My wife knows I love Shenmue and as long as a video game has a story she enjoys watching me play it. She's the one I called the morning after the Sony announcement(had a rough night the night before the announcement so I went to bed around 8 p.m. the night of the announcement, MISTAKE!). She heard me choked up when I said "They're making it..."

I'll also probably play it with my cousin(she's 14 now). Just this past weekend, after hearing me talk all about Shenmue, asked if she could play it. So I dug out my Dreamcast and booted it up. She had a good time and even asked when she'd be able to come back to play it. Win!

Oh! And my daughter will almost be FIVE when it comes out! So she'll watch me play it, I'm sure.

It depends if I can stay in touch with my brother in 2018. I hope so, I really found better to do Shenmue with another person, especially if the story keeps the same sense of humor and adventure as before.

I think I'll play it with a buddy with whom I had countless playthroughs of Shenmue I and II in the past 12 years.
Depends on how things are when the game gets released. Still quite some time until then.

It will be kinda strange playing it like that the first time through, not being able to play the entire thing at my own will but there are enough chances for that later and it will be more awesome in it's own way.

I have a boyfriend, but he's not much of a gamer He's seen how giddy I got when it was announced though, and has heard me witter on about Shenmue before He also watched a bit of me playing Shenmue 1 when I replayed it over the past couple of weeks. I think he kind of 'gets it', seeming to be impressed just how detailed and expansive the game's world is.
I may end up playing it with a friend of mine I haven't seen in years, he used to post here as 'Milkybarkid' years ago (as he does indeed look a bit like of him) - may be a good excuse for a reunion

Mmmm, I don't know. My current gf, nor any of my friends are into gaming; they all outgrew it or were never gamers in the first place.
I actually played the first one with my Mother, who did a remarkable job of feigning interest through all 4 disks. I was very sick at the time and we played through the whole game together.

Perhaps I'd show her some of the game, but I wouldn't put her through that again.

My best friend posted here back in the day as well, under the user name CT and we discovered Shenmue at the same time. And I played through 1 and 2 at his house, so maybe something similar will happen after my initial playthrough.
