I hope that Yu Suzuki and Shenmue find new fans in China, but also a few new investors for the game!!!

So glad I donated to this ($1500) , would personally produce this game if I were rich, looking forward to participating and playing this. But will probably feel old when this will be released.:)

Very interesting stuff. I loved in the original trailers and beta footage how we had a lot of footage of the interiors of rooms and areas. It seems to follow similar shot pattern.

Would kill for some better quality footage.

Where did you find this exactly ?

The Shenhua's distortion on the other screen was due to the powerpoint transition.

Hyo Razuki wrote: So, I'm gonna try to give you guys a rough translation of the video. Note: I'm translating what the Chinese guy is saying, maybe somebody can translate directly from Japanese, from what Yu is saying.

So in the beginning he says "The sun changes, it can set and so on."

Later he says "We are only showing a part at this exhibition. We are currently implementing rain and snow."

Then at the part, where the Da Yuan Appartments music kicks in, he says: "Even more realistic... This is the first time we are showing any of this to the public. It is running very slowly on this PC now but actually it is very fluent."

Then at the end he says something like "Has everybody seen that person? Is anyone thinking about - what was her name? - Ine-San!"

Well, I'm not a native speaker in Chinese or Japanese, but this is as good as I can do. Maybe some native speakers can do it more precisely, but better than nothing I guess.

Pretty much spot on. At the end Suzuki said Ine-san was not going to be there really, just joking.

Uh.. Yikes! What happened to Shenhua's face? They are supposed to be improving it, not making it worse? The picture ripped from the official site looks way better:

That said, I like the environments. They need to tone down the bloom, though.

Yep, the bottom Shenhua looks very appealing even though her designs are quite different to Shenmue 2's Shenhua.

Really hoping he scores some Chinese investment in this game, the more money the better! Thanks to everyone for their translations. Can't wait to go climbing mountains in Bailu and exploring the riverside city of Choubu.

I think we will get some good footage at Sony Experience in December.

Shenmue 3 is lined up to be shown.

It's looking really nice already, combine a prettier Shenhua showing Ryo around her village, going to be amazing.

I've added in English captions onto the video.

For the Chinese parts I've used the translation provided by Hyo Razuki.

Thanks for the translation. Hah, I just noticed Ine-san in the door-frame at the end! :P Wonder if that was a model made by Kid Nocon during his Shenmue HD remake time? Will be nostalgic calling the Hazuki Residence and being able to talk to her and Fuku-san.

Just popping in to say:

That looks incredibly advanced for four months of dev time, and it seems like the legendary Yu Suzuki development pipeline efficiency and detail stickling is hard at work with this game lol. It ALREADY has a feel, an atmosphere, and a "smell" as he might put it. And this is with over two years of dev time remaining.

Yeah. He may surprise everyone despite the limited budget...

Even nowhere in China, he's still think about us by providing some fanservice, how cute.

I agree, for a game apparently so early in development Shenmue 3 looks absolutely amazing. No doubt Yu Suzuki's talent as a developer and a leader has made all this hard work possible, to make the most of the people and resources he has at his disposal. Plus, I think it probably helps a great deal that much of the pre-production for Shenmue 3 was completed the best part of two decades ago, allowing Yu Suzuki and his team to jump straight into full-scale development. Shenmue was always meant to be Yu Suzuki’s magnum opus, now all these years later he's picking-up where he left off.
