I'm lgbt and I have no idea what you're talking about. In fact, I find Dou Niu and Yuan's relationship great because no one questions it. It's treated as something pretty normal and a total side thing for both of the characters beyond their portrayals as antagonists. In fact, I'd say they're the first positive lgbt couple I can think I ever experienced in a game and I still think they're an overall positive representation. Did we play the same game?

Why was Hassan's headdress removed in the western versions of the game? Censorship has, and always will be, ridiculous, favouring the minority over the majority, and just because you happen to fall into a category personally relating to a specific piece of censorship doesn't mean you need to get all sensitive over the fact two baddies happen to be homosexual, even though it has literally no impact on their overall existence or (as you seem to be pushing) sinister implications whatsoever.

It's not that they necessarily think that. Sometimes they're not even aware of it. Usually it's overseas offices who want to change things because they're afraid that it would affect sales. So they try to adapt to a specific market and what they see as sensibilities of a majority in that area.

I recall Dory Gordie being gay. The final arm wrestler. He is extremely hard to defeat. So there is an example of a strong and not sinister homosexual in the series.
