I don't think the reasoning is garbage. Shenmue runs on a pretty custom proprietary engine and porting from Source Code and emulation are completely different beasts. Maybe they could only get it to 1080p and 4K is too big of a resolution for the engine to handle. I seem to recall Bayonetta on PC ha...
Good video. I'm surprised about no 4K even on PC it seems. Seems like resolution caps are rare on PC when it comes to SEGA ports but it is what it is i guess.
I wonder if the Platinum Trophy will be separate between Shenmue 1 and 2 on PS4 or whatever it's called on Xbox. Found this picture online and it seems that for Xbox, the games will be separate applications.
1-2 seconds of loading is impressive, way shorter than on GDEMU or on a emulator but i don't know i hope new players can read all the loading screen info in time i guess lol.
I wonder if all these options are PC only or also for consoles. These all seem nice and i imagine 4:3 with non hi res rendering would be pretty authentic to DC. Also someone else asked about loading times and Sega answered that they will be fast. I just hope there's enough time to read the info that...
I wonder if it was a unused texture the devs were too worried at first to put in because of legal trouble with The Simpsons or d3t added it as a small easter egg. Either way i like it, it's funny.
It doesn't bother me. It certainly isn't as blown out as Shenmue 2 on Xbox was. The PC version would probably have a toggle to disable it for those that don't like it. Would be nice to have one for the Consoles too.
I'm curious about the loading times, Adam said they will be shorter but i hope they aren't TOO short as in the screen goes by so fast that i can't read all the info provided on the screen.
I knew compressed audio was what we were getting. While it's known Sega still has Ryo's English lines uncompressed i highly doubt they also have every single uncompressed line from the close to one a thousand NPCs throughout both games in both languages so its understandable.
