I'd probably go with Ikaruga. This game is insanely tough, but also, insanely addictive. I'm just lucky it's not frustrating.

I'll go with saying Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy). It has a very similar feel. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as long, but I really enjoyed the game, and seeing how cheap it is, and how easy it is to pick up a copy, I'd go for it.
