If that's the case I'm completely fine with having a more detailed condensed village. But I have no worries either way I'm sure pay pal will come and it will get us to 10 million eventually.

Shenmue 3 will have no problem hitting the 1m mark. If games like VC on steam hit over 500k and transistor hit over 1m then I don't see why Shenmue 3 can't do that either. Especially when Shenmue is more popular and the hype on the internet will rise as we get closer to release day. There are a lot more "fans" of the series then people realize and plenty of people who will buy S3 without even playing S1 & S2 based on hype alone and curiosity. I see Shenmue 3 hitting over 2 million when it's all set and done especially if it's being priced around $40-$50. Of course it does need solid reviews to help

Since their horrible Q&A stream with Yu, AJ should've been replaced. The Kickstarter would've been much better without them, and now they'll ruin the PayPal campaign. Moreover, I am not optimistic about trusting a newly-formed game company with a high-profile game like Shenmue, obviously they are still in the learning phase of the UE4 engine, and in today's market where a lot of AAA games exist, they wouldn't have a chance. One mistake after another and the Shenmue legacy we all love is being terribly shattered, and day after day I am starting to think that Sega's decision in wrapping up Shenmue after the second game might not be totally wrong after all.... I blame YS.net for all of this btw.

This is over-exaggerating a bit

If you don't like the look of Shenmue III, you're free not to play it, but there was no other way this game was getting made.

I am not happy with how Shenmue 3 is being handled. I know there's no other way it'd be getting made, but judging from how gloomy things are currently looking, there's also no way we'll live long enough to see another one getting made.

Check out indie projects like Armikrog and Mighty No.9 and see what I mean.

Nobody but a very small crowd of people are going to remember this a yr or 2 down the line. What people will remember are the future trailers, impending demo, and work being done on the game. The final product of the game will determine if we get another one as well as sales expectations being met. When we start seeing real progress and get a true trailer of the game (if it looks good) all this shit will get thrown out the window. Once again, I think you are over-exaggerating.

Also, Yu Suzuki said earlier if sales are good enough he believes they will not need to take the kickstarter route with S4.

Its no skin off Deep Silvers nose until there's an actual game to be published. Deep Silver have no vested interest (financial) until there is an actual product to be published, marketed and distributed.

The whole scope of the game increased because of Deep Silver's funds. How did you think some of the work were outsourced to Lakshya Digital? Get your facts straight before calling something a scam. Deep Silver most certainly has vested interest.

After so many years we finally did it. Stayed persistent and never gave up. Can't believe this!

A 4 year development window makes much more sense so really this was all expected. This game cannot be rushed and I'm glad Deep Silver is giving Yu more time to further work on the game. We have the HD collections to hold us tight until Shenmue 3's release.
