This is a horrible idea.

If it goes crossplatform, Sony won't put nearly enough into the game, hell advertisement alone.
Sony can now put a shit ton of money behind it and say " You can't get this experience on an xbox" That is huge. Microsoft had their chance with Shenmue 2x and they dropped the ball.

Plus the XboxOne is garbage.

Hello all!

The old timers will probably not remember me (Hell, I dont much remember half of you either, lol) but I was a member of this board. The one going back to the original dojo, the one where it was light and had brownish color on the edges. Those were the good old time.

Anyway, I used to go by -da bx- on there. I also remember registering here but in the beginning of the transition I remember having issues logging in and what not.

I only remember a hand full of the old posters such as darkly, miles and T1249NTSC and the guy with the monkey avatar. Haha good times.

Anyways, it's good to be back even though its under crazy and different circustances.

This is also an investment.

My brother and I are 2nd in command at this school and we are getting larger every year. The owner is getting older and we plan to take over the school full time. We would love to design it around Shenmue and have members of the Dojo come teach English and live our their dreams of living in Guilin.

We have many connections here and a degree is not required for our school. Some basic Chinese is required though. You don't need a teaching Visa either. A basic passport is all you need but you have to leave within 90 days.

We are still in the planning stage for how we are going to do this.

I will def give up my big time marketing analyst job to hop on that opportunity, keep us up to date.

Hopefully this shenmue documentary comes out soon, that will help alot.

I just replayed la noire for like the 20th time. I love the charm of this fucking game. Probably because it does remind me of Shenmue on a few different levels

Downloaded Galaga Tekken for my phone a few days ago, and it's a fucking blast. Totally free, too.
It's basically just Galaga, but with Tekken characters flying around instead. Each one has a different kind of shot; some are slow but wide, others fast but narrow, while others can hit an enemy and keep going to kill anything behind it.
There are also ways to activate a number of sort of "screen clearing" special weapons which all use old Namco arcade classics for their graphics (further illustrating why I love Namco; they never, ever forget about their classics).
My favorite is, naturally, the Rolling Thunder one, where the classic computer room pops up, and Albatross drops in to kill everyone present.

I've also seen ones for Pac-Man and Mappy. Not sure if there are others.
Played for a good long while yesterday and got a great high score. Pretty much finished every stage to the point where it had to start over with harder enemies.
