Screening went well!

Now we have a month to clean up the narrative with the director and producer's notes, add new B-roll, add new animation, and new interview segments before we officially release it.

Hello guys, today I released my channel on youtube "Games Made in Brazil" I want to show a little about the story and culture of games in my country, and many curious facts. I talk a little about Nintendo and Sega in this video.

Thinking of getting another arcade stick. The one I have is too bite sized, can't get comfortable with it.

But not sure if it should be Hori or not. I don't really like the little spherical stick:

Metro: Redux on PS4. Working my way through 2033 right now. They remade it using the Metro: Last Light engine, so its looks incredible compared to its older 360/PC counterparts. The lighting and textures are almost as good as Last Light itself. I forgot how atmospheric these games are. Definitely two of the best story driven FPS games out there. Makes me miss the old STALKER games.

Just starting now.
Interesting to read that they apparently managed to squeeze about 20% more power out of the last-gen consoles for this release, over what they did with Black Flag. Supposed to result in longer draw distances and larger areas being loaded or something. Cool little fact.

That seals it. No way im playing it until its around 30 bucks. By then they'll have it patched up lord knows how many times and it'll be smoother. AC games never really ran incredibly smooth to begin with on last gen, but for this gen when the standard should be native 1080p not 900p and 60fps not sub 30. This is just dumb.

Re: Shenmue Bicycle Mod Project by James Reiner (Progress Vi

Alrighty, as promised. Here are some teaser images of my new approach.

Custom debug value allowing for player to control Wang's AI. Here we have WanRyo about to hop on the bike.
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p622/shengoro86/bike1_zpse834350f.jpg

Here we have the first camera pivot as the bike animation happens, that doesnt exist.
The model for Ryo/Wang disappears. I do not know why this happens yet.
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p622/shengoro86/bike2_zps3ad0af98.jpg

Here we have the final camera pivot of WanRyo on the bike.
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p622/shengoro86/Bike3_zps003ef9ae.jpg

Here we have WanRyo riding to the end of Dobuita.
http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p622/shengoro86/bike4_zps19ef2e19.jpg

Currently, the bike floats and Ryo's model dissappears.

With this approach, I do not know if its fixable. But I'll keep looking into it.

For now, thanks for being patient.

Actually I'm trying to find how to open VOB files to put the forklift into the game. Or I'll maybe go to a simple motorcycle swap.
But anyway, I've swapped all Ryo's versions lol. I'm re-playing the game to be sure there are no crashes and all models are placed correctly.

Oh, and this mod can be shared. As I always say; I'm not interested to keep them for my exclusive use. So if anybody wants to give a try, just ask me.

Last point: I always repeat that this awesome katana's model is not made by me. It's from a modder called Millenia. Hazuki crest texture is picked from a wallpaper of Ricardo.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Have to say, so far the story pacing in AC Rogue is excellent . It genuinely takes its time at the beginning, making sure Shay is established properly as an Assassin before turning him Templar. I've been playing for several hours already, and he's still not a Templar yet. Fallen out with brotherhood just recently, but he still hasn't been inducted into the alternative. Some might complain about this and say that the game takes too long to get to its actual concept, but I think it's the right move to make.
I read so many comments from idiot fans before the game came out, pre-judging the story with this preconceived idea that he was just going to turn at the first sign of not getting his way, but that's not the case at all. It takes some serious time, and plenty of reason is given for his eventual change of heart. It's actually been handled better than I was expecting.
So far , that is. Don't want to praise it too much this early in the game. Even so, things are looking good on the narrative front, and I'm pretty pleased with that.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Unity (PS4/XB1)

Aw, man. Just finished Rogue, and I gotta say, the ending has a really cool link to Unity.
It's good if you've seen the first several minutes of Unity to get the full effect of it, but it's a really great little tie-in. Sort of an "oh shit" moment, and I love stuff like that. Despite whatever problems I'm hearing about the game, this sort of thing definitely makes me more keen to dive into Unity whenever I get the chance. I've heard Unity's narrative is a bit dull compared to others in the series, but I like what Ubisoft is doing with the overall story anyway, so I want to see where it goes.

And on that note, with all the complaining that Unity is getting, people really ought to give Rogue a try. It retains a formula already established in Black Flag, but the overall feel of it is incredibly different, not to mention the fact that it's apparently much more solid than its next-gen counterpart. I don't think it's beaten Revelations as my favorite in the series, but I'm very tempted to say I actually like it more than Black Flag (which is a shock to me, as I usually enjoy tropical settings and pirate characters more than stuff like colonial clashes and arctic waters).

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts (Read OP Before Posting)

Popped in Assassin's Creed II just now because I wanted to record something for a really simple video I might make. There's a plot point in ACIV that I've never seen anyone else reference or explain, so I think it might be worth putting a video out explaining my stance on it.
Anyway, I needed to record the part where you flash back to Altair climbing a tower and getting jiggy with Maria, but the game doesn't have a "replay mission" option. So I start a new game, feeling like I remembered it occurring right near the beginning. I play through the entirety of the first couple sequences, spend about an hour and a half trying to speed through, thinking "it's coming up soon, right?" Out of frustration I check a walkthrough, and it turns out that scene is something like halfway through the entire game.
Fuck.
So I guess I'll just use pictures or something for the video. So annoying that every AC game has a mission select option except for this one. No clue why it was left out. Would have been nice if they'd patched one in or something.

Either way, playing the early scenes in Ezio's story brought back to mind just how great this old stuff was from a presentation perspective. The series is still great in my eyes, obviously, but it's a lot of fun going back to the start, when it was still kind of mysterious and new. Also, as much as I love Black Flag and Rogue, there's a certain sense of "population" that thriving European cities like Florence or Rome can offer that's kind of absent when you find yourself on a ship or roaming colonial settlements for entire games. I'm really interested to see if Paris can offer a similar feeling in Unity. Stands to reason that it might.

Jurassic World

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFinNxS5KN4

I'm gonna see it anyway. I love the idea of a bigger park and more people getting eaten and all that good stuff. Especially the marine life, always been fascinated with sea creatures and I hope they do it proper justice.

But holy mother of god, why do the dinosaurs look fucking FAKER than the originals in this trailer?! Honestly, they don't even CARE to try anymore. Supposedly there are going to be animatronics again, which are apparently way more advanced than the ones they used back in the day. Hope that balances it out but it begs the question: why don't you use the animatronics and models as the basis for your CG counterparts? That's a large reason why it probably looks fake to me.

Dark Souls 2 being released on PS4 and Xbox One, with all of the DLC packs packaged in .
So that's pretty awesome. I'll certainly pick up a release like that when I get a PS4. Also a bunch of tweaks to the existing main game, as well as additional NPCs which apparently add to the story. Hey, more characters in a Souls game; I'm all for that.

The basic tweaks are apparently also being patched into the PS3/360 version as well. But I'd still opt for the more "enhanced" next gen version.

Re: Jurassic World

Looks like a fun movie.

This.
See, with new entries in a classic franchise like this, people our age really ought to understand that nothing is going to kick us in the face with that same amazing feeling that the original did. We shouldn't be looking for that, because that road only leads to disappointment.
But that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy a fun popcorn flick.
Hollywood loves making retardedly grandiose spectacles nowadays, and they're generally not too bad at it. So that, paired with the almost guaranteed abundance of new dinos, paired further with the fact that Chris Pratt is a likable-as-hell motherfucker... I think it'll make for a fine theater experience.

I dunno, I talked with Oppy about this earlier, but I still think there's a way to make a really good fun flick that can actually live up to the original.

But other than the new hybrid dino they're teasing (which I hope is similar to the Chameleon one in the light-gun Arcade game, because big ass lizards that can blend into the environment is nothing short of terrifying), I hope to see lots and lots of tourists getting trapped, eaten, and stomped. That's all I care to see, really.

Nope. I can't stand Assassin's Creed either. Don't think Kenny liked it either. I may try out Assassin's Creed 2 one day, but don't feel the urge to since the first game was one of the most tedious, boring, monotonous games I've ever played.

AC2 is different in the sense that it doesn't feel monotonous. There are varied tasks for the main missions.

But I did give it up after playing a bit of Brotherhood. I just wasn't invested enough in the story to continue playing what seemed like the same game over and over.

But apparently AC4 is where it's at in terms of gameplay. It's the definitive AC from what i've been told.

Re: Assassin's Creed Series

Looks like next year's game has been leaked. Wouldn't surprise me if Ubisoft has done this themselves to try and take the press away from Unity's problems.

http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/yy31jpc9to1mc6zb6jcq.jpg

Next year's Assassin's Creed game will take place in London during the 19th century, Kotaku has learned thanks to an early leak. Farewell, Napoleon; hello, Jack the Ripper?

This new entry in Ubisoft's annual open-world action series, slated for release in the fall of 2015, will take us through the dirty back alleys and rattling stagecoaches of London during the Victorian era, a historical period that fans have wanted to see in an Assassin's Creed game for quite some time now. This new Assassin's Creed game is called or code-named Victory—like Victorian!—and it will be out next year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, according to a person familiar with the game.

Victory is something of a shift for the series in a few ways. For one, this is the first Assassin's Creed game helmed by Ubisoft's Quebec studio, as opposed to their primary Montreal office, which has led development on the biggest Assassin's Creed releases since the first game in 2007. Earlier this year, the Ubisoft Blog teased that Quebec would be heading up a future game in their annualized series, but they didn't say much more about it. This is that game.

We also hear that this will be the only main Assassin's Creed next fall—unless something changes, we won't see two separate entries like we did this year with Unity and Rogue, according to a person familiar with goings-on at the company. Next year, Assassin's Creed is sticking to current-gen platforms and seemingly leaving the Xbox 360 and PS3 behind.
