One bite you die. If you die your character is dead and no coming back. Instead you then play as a different avatar. You can even kill your former self as a zombie. Seems to put alot in real survival. Looks interesting

Wasn't that an idea that Hideo Kojima had years ago, but joked that he'd have been kicked out of the industry if he would have done it?
I could have sworn he mentioned an idea for a zombie game before, where when you die, there's no coming back; you have to start a new character.
Someone must have read that and thought it sounded great.

It had better be one hell of an easy time staying alive if they'd charge you to play again for dieing. At least they realized that part of the idea was crap.

I like the whole new character thing, after-all you were just killed by zombies, there should be no coming back, unless its as a zombie.

I belive it would be an MMO, rather than buy the game again you had to buy a new character/profile.

I would prefer Koji's idea (from back when he had balls instead of uploading pics of his butt on twitter-- it just shows how much he has changed, does it not?) but I must confess I also really like ZombiU's take on death. Interested on how the game will work out.

Sick idea. Love "dead means you're dead" games. There aren't nearly enough of em, and the ridiculous amount of checkpoints mean that you can play games wrecklessly with little to no consequence. Suppose it makes em that much more accessible, but goddamnit, it's us gamers that put money in your pocket in the first place. *shakes fist at industry*

His idea was shit. Buy a new game to play as a new character? That was destined to fail. Sorry but this is a far better idea than his.

Turns out ZombiU is a sequel to a 26 year old game from Ubisoft called Zombi
