A SUMO Digital staff member on the official Sega forum responded to a user named "Ryo Hazuki" regarding new DLC.

I may be wrong but I do believe it's happening. If it does we need to be even more vocal with the tweetathon and supportive of #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense and buy the Ryo DLC. (if it happens.)

I know some might say that Sega is probably just trolling us Shenmue fans and just because we buy Shenmue related merch (statues, dlc, clothing, etc) doesn't mean they're going to give in and make or port a game. I agree, however since Sony has already expressed interest we finally have a chance to increase output and support to make something happen. (if it is Ryo dlc)

Also if it is indeed Ryo, it's likely a much more detailed and highly texture model than the previous game... I mean, it's taken them MONTHS so if it isn't, WOW. (and I'm probably going to cry cause it has 0% chance of happening but I'm wishing for a Shenmue track aswell! it would make for a super surprise.)

EDIT: If it is a Shenmue Track and Ryo maybe even buy the game again if you already have it (it's currently 5$!) just to show support for Shenmue. xD

We should all do some Shenmue Dojo organized tournaments for it too.

He was complaining about the lengthy wait for holiday DLC that was supposed to be released wednesday, (what was found in the steam dtabase, I guess. ) I think. Ergo the hyperbole of waiting until Wednesday 2099. I may be wrong... XD...
