But excellent news all the same. Can't say enough how much I love Dishonored. I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I loved practically everything about it. Tonally and subtextually it's just such a far cry from anything else in recent memory for me, and I certainly did just want more after it was over (to the extent that I immediately replayed it after the first playthrough, which is rare for me). Along with Gravity Rush, it's easily one of my absolute favorites of last gen.

Oh, and just have to say, bravo to the new avatar/sig on Riku.

Saw DIshonered on 360 for $3.99 used today. Almost picked it up, but knew nothing about it outside of hearing about it in mention in some circles.

Good goddamn, that looks wonderful. Sure, it's not gameplay, but half of the appeal of the first game was the aesthetics and lore, and everything established in this trailer is pure candy for a fan of the first.
Emily being the new protagonist, a new plague spreading around, the new twists on powers, the new robotic enemies, the new city (I wonder if it'll be one that was mentioned in the first game?) which looks different enough from the first to still be fresh.
It's got me excited as hell.

EDIT: Oh, they're also apparently making a "Definitive Edition" of the first game for PS4 and XB1.



Guess I'll be buying the game a second time.

Probably the biggest reveal is the fact that Emily isn't the only protagonist; you can also play as Corvo from the first game, and they both have different powers. They go through the same basic missions apparently, but obviously perspective and abilities can make a big difference.
Kind of interesting that Arkane is outright confirming that Emily is Corvo's daughter too; it was one of those things in the original game that they never really shoved in your face, but you could figure it out on your own. So I wonder if they'll actually be interacting as father and daughter, or if Corvo is still keeping it to himself?
Anyway, interested as hell to hear more on it.
Oh, and they're working to making it a bit more challenging (likely difficulty settings or something), so maybe folks like Mitts will be able to get into it this time.
