Arcades aren't good for just playing a game for fun any more. Might as well do that at home. What they're good for is playing games against other people. Around here I know of a place that has a Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo machine, and I never get tired of playing people in that.

And also, there's nothing wrong with Gameworks and it's not their fault that prices have gone up... If Gameworks was charging a lot for games and some other arcade wasn't, do you think anyone would go to Gameworks?

Besides, Gameworks is owned by Sega... and employees get game cards with infinite money on them. So go make friends with an employee :P

its not all Gameworks' fault. Everyone had a hand in bringing down arcades. Okay.

It's the consoles themselves. Arcades have become almost redundant. Even a few years back, arcade games were still vastly superior in every way to their console siblings. Nowadays console versions of games are just as good if not better than the arcade versions, and not as many games even go to arcades.

Arcades can't seem to have very good graphics either...such as Soulcaluber for the arcade has tons of jaggys.
