Hori Makes THE Best Arcade Fighting Sticks for Consoles

Yes, they make the best. A definite must have for Fighting games like SC2 and VF4. They are reasonably priced too, at around $40-50. I cannot play VF without it:

The VF4Evo one is tailor made for the game's three main actions and so is perfect for VF4Evo, but if you wanted to use it for... say, a Capcom fighter, then you'll have major difficulties with just 5 buttons. Unlike the SCII one which has wider appeal because it can be used with virtually any fighter. These sticks seem really great but I don't see what advantages they can offer over cheaper sticks, apart from perhaps being more durable. Though I haven't tried either one.

This reminds me of my roommate crying for a arcade stick for his fighting games like VF4, That was also made my Hori but is quite old. It had a tekken 2 picture on the box with Kazuya and his father, the PS2 exclusive SC character.

The cheap sticks suck ass. The Hori sticks are the closest you can get to a Japanese arcade cabinet for reasonable price. They are durable and have a great tactile feel. They are the most popular in Japan. A must have for fighting fans....you will not be able to go back after using one. You can shop around and get it for $40-50.

My roommate had the problom of the shipping and handling costing as much as the stick itself when buying from Japan, as they make the best sticks or somthing(according to him) when compared to America.

Yeah shipping can cost you around $27, but if you add that up with the price of buying direct, it's still cheaper than a lot of the sticks you can buy around here.....and much much better.

Hmm... An arcade stick is not a common accessory(at least not in the west) and many(including myself) have learned to put up with the controller, which I don't think is really that bad. Though I'll take your word about the quality of the Hori sticks, I'm won't be getting one anytime soon(even though they'll REALLY help me on my Ikaruga forays). I haven't really felt the need to even buy a domestic one, let alone face funny import shipping charges. But I'll keep this one in mind in case I intend to really seriously play SCII.
