Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master (why can't the new Shinobi games be more like this?)
Sonic 2 (or any of the Sonic series for that matter)
Wonder Boy in Monster World (my very first RPG)
Now here's a man that knows his games...although I'd disagree with FF7. He has a vast selection of games from different eras and platforms! Seems that too many people are only picking from the current generation of systems (Splinter Cell is the best game of all time??? Not even close my friends!), but it is refreshing to see that there are others who realized that the hits of yesterday paved the way for much of what is out today!
Fallout series -- ahead of their time!
Full Throttle--a pure classic.
Shinobi 3---again, a pure 16-bit classic! The GOLDEN ERA of gaming, my friends!
Sonic 2---fun
Wonder Boy in Monster World---hard as hell, but in 1989, this was an absolutely stunning title!
Shenmue--one of the few next-gen games that could readily be classed as a classic.
