Yep you're also correct about me liking my XBox more(which is blatantly better in the first place anyway), but that doesn't alter my judgement on FF. I don't actually hate FFX(or any other). But when there are so many better RPGs out there, and all people want to do is get the next FF installment, just cos its FF and all "hip" and "mainstream". That pisses me off. Anyway. Moving on... I see that you have a Star Ocean III sig. I've never played this series before, is it good? I heard that its a sci-fi type of RPG, this true? :)

Yes it is a sci-fi RPG and the battle system is quite fun too... you control an individual character and fight alongside your other party members controlled by the AI (you can switch between them but the ones your not controlling are controlled by a AI that you can set (such as telling one of them to heal, suppourt, or aid the party in battle)

The first game introduced the option to switch your party members in battle (that was later cloned for use in FFX) I'm not sure if Till the End of Time features that....

There are four games in the series :
Star Ocean (Japan Only)
Star Ocean the Second Story
Star Ocean Blue Sphere (Japan Only)
Star Ocean Till the End of Time

Well thanks for the info. Two of those are Jap only? Damn that sucks. I'm assuming that they're all in Japanese then? *please say otherwise...please say otherwise...* lol

Ah, so FF cloned ideas? No surprise there then! lol. You know, in Skies of Arcadia(my fave RPG of all time), right near the end you got a party switch option which was pretty cool(of course there was no party switching for the vast majority of the game).

Well Star Ocean had it first ;) FFX also took a little from the Grandia playbook.

Star Ocean 1 can be downloaded in English (SNES ROM) the second story was released in the USA and Star Ocean : Till the End of Time will be also

So thats a total of 3 games you can play in English... lol

Star Ocean : The Second Story wasn't in limited print like Valkyrie Profile so it can still be found for $19.99 or less.

That's good to know. Much like the fan translated Seiken Densetsu 3 roms eh?

Ah Valkyrie Profile. I heard about that also, for being rare as well as being very good(?). Btw will I miss out on a lot by not being able to play Star Ocean: Blue Sphere?

haven't played Valkyrie Profile myself... But I want it!

Star Ocean Blue Sphere is a direct sequel to Star Ocean : The Second Story... and was on... GASP the Gameboy Color......

And here is another shocker :
It actually looked good

I have the rom on my computer but with little Japanese I do understand the only thing I could do is follow simple directions and goto places without knowing why the hell I'm there...lol

Some site is working on a translation but last time I checked it was like at maybe 10%....

Star Ocean Blue Sphere plays more like Tales of Phantasia rather than playing like Star Ocean games do... guess the GBC was too limited for them to do anything more without it looking incredibly crappy (which Tri-Ace doesn't like doing)

There is a small chance that Blue Sphere might get rereleased on GBA....
