the pace of the combat and some of the roll maneuvers was why I mentioned god of war, as far as the stages go, this game looks much more well setup, although some of those areas look at little bit narrow and linear, which may end up being a balancing tactic to keep the game difficulty decent.
When I first saw Demon Souls and saw what people were saying about it, I was intrigued. But when I really started researching the game I realized how un JRPG it really was (for its time), but at the same time I know From Software has ben making games similar to it since they have been around. It kind of looked like Elder Scrolls JRPG version, but obviously with differences, I was actually going to buy Demon Souls a couple different times just ultimate bought another game instead, I passed it up for Eternal Sonata and Resonance of Fate.
You have to give From Software credit, they broke the wall that all the other japanese devs couldnt do and are still dreaming of and that was make a successful RPG that sold well in the western territories. I would even say alot of western fans of Dark Souls probably dont even realize its a JRPG. Its doesnt have the usual anime inspired look like most JRPG, which honestly is another cool thing about bloodborne, it doesnt look like your usual japanese game. Maybe thats what allows them to do so well here, its just interesting that other japanese devs try to mimic that tactic and fail.
