Have been giving this a lot of thought since this article came out. Rather interesting that they make a declaration stating:
"We did our best to build a relationship of mutual trust with older fans of Sega, but looking back, there’ve been some titles that have partially betrayed that [trust] in the past 10 years" and yet they still have not released any sort of statement or comment regarding Shenmue 3 or Yu-san's project as a whole. Honestly, is there a franchise, or a fan base for that matter, in their IP stable that has been 'betrayed' more than us? Hell at least they continued doing Sonic games, albeit at varying levels of
quality...I digress.
I realize that Sega let Suzuki, technically still an advisor within the company, use the IP and that there may be some business/legal issues with that and with Sony's involvement that could limit the scope of what can they say...But they can't even give us a baseline level of good luck/congratulations
