Truth be told Capcom asked Ninja Theory for Dante's extreme make-over.
Capcom said they were pleased with the results and even said they could have changed it more, so...
It's as much Capcom's fault as Ninja Theory's.

I like the concept of the music being played in crescendo, with added layers if you do good, and finally vocals if you're playing really good, but the soundtrack seems to be crap.
Nice visuals, very cliché art direction, add it the fake Dante and, yes, one to ignore, to get second hand if at all.

Again it's Dante not Travis Touchdown. Saying fuck with one liners is not Dante and makes him sound like a unlikeable douche. I love TT but that's a different kind of game. This sounds forced trying to be cool. SO again this it NT's bullshit.

DmC: Devil May Cry plays out in a parallel dimension to past entries in Capcom's action franchise.

According to a Ninja Theory interview in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation, as reported by Siliconera, that means you'll be playing as a different Dante.

The 'old' Dante still exists in the main Devil May Cry series and in the Marvel vs Capcom 3 universe.

Apparently it's not a case of Capcom hedging its bets - the dimensional split was actually Ninja Theory's idea.

At least it's clear that Capcom is listening and starting to face how bad an idea this was (or is Ninja Theory thinking of an escape plan before the game launches?), but too little, too late.

Me too, but I can't say I've had fun with any of their games, even Enslaved which I like, i hate to play, If i were a cheater I'd have just watched the cutscenes on youtube and gotten everything the game had to offer.

I'm still going to play DmC, and theres still a chance I'll enjoy it. I mean Breath of Fire 5 was a big departure from the series and I love it, and theres plenty of other examples, but judging by the company and the kind of games they make, and by the story and what I've seen, I think it'll be an ok game that doesn't live up to the series standards and just makes you want to play one of the older games instead.

word, Its pretty clear both parties had no idea what they were getting into, even now it seems a bit unreal that Capcom made such a bad decision, and to honest I'd be very disheartened if the game turned out bad but was a financial success.

I play for fun also but rather not watch the industry I love go down the shitter rewarding bad decisions.
I'm not asking for everything to be the 90's again in the "good ol days" I just want them to have some damn sense when making games these days. Most of them have lost it. In some cases (not all) we have LJN & Titus this gen. the difference is they were shut down for it but now it's rewarded.
